A pat on
the back for Abhishek Chaubey who puts a tough film together and keeps us
engrossed throughout. Music by Vishal Bhardwaj is not great here but his
contribution in writing the dialogues for this film is the best thing to happen
to Dedh Ishqiya.
Watch it,
you won't be disappointed!
Saibal Chatterjee, NDTV: 4/5
Notwithstanding the title, there
are no half measures in Dedh Ishqiya.
From dilkashi to junoon, the start and end point
respectively of Khalujaan’s take on the seven stages of love, the film has them
both and everything in between and beyond.
Dedh Ishqiya is a must watch
Raja Sen, Rediff: 5/5
It's a sequel that leaves even a
highly original first-part far behind.
And, for a film so accessible, it’s armed with the most cunning, most delicious
twist. It’s terrific -- and a half.

Post: In short, Dedh Ishqiya is smarter,
funnier, richer and way more gorgeous than its predecessor. If you're a fan of
clever lines with terrific actors, great writing, masterful direction and Urdu
poetry, Dedh Ishqiya hits your sweet spot. If you don’t really
give a damn about any of this and just want a fun time at the movies, Dedh
Ishqiya is perhaps the most hilarious thriller Bollywood has produced
Meena Iyer , Times of India : 3.5/5
Vishal Bharadwaj's dialogue
keeps you in splits. The free usage of words like sex and chu**yapaa tickle
the funny bone. Naseer is back in super-form after straying in outings like
Jackpot. Ditto Arshad. Madhuri looks gorgeous but the dhak-dhak girl
(now woman) falls short on the oomph meter, as compared to Vidya Balan in Ishqiya. Huma Qureshi is interesting.

While ISHQIYA was earthy and
rustic, one gets to witness an alternate universe in DEDH ISHQIYA. There are
layers to the story that baffle you. This time, it's even more dicey and
perilous. On the whole, DEDH ISHQIYA is a worthy follow up to the widely admired
ISHQIYA. Powerful writing, superb direction and outstanding performances make
DEDH ISHQIYA a must watch. Just don't miss it!

The
film rides on a good story, great acting performances, brilliant screenplay,
interesting dialogues and a twist, which will leave you awestruck. If Ishqiya
was rustic, Dedh Ishqiya is royal. Just like the prequel Naseeruddin Shah and
Arshad have given an outstanding performance. Dedh Ishqiya is fractionally
better than its prequel. For all the cinema lovers, who prefer acting and story
over masala, it’s time to book your seats.
